By the A483, in parish of Cilmery (Powys District), Llanfechan, next to petrol station/coach depot on verge.

Old coaches near Builth Wells
One coach bears the legend 'Scouts and Guides' and was presumably used by such youth groups on camps, trips and activities. I'm sure that each coach could tell a tale or two and if I squint a little I am sure I can see serried ranks of faces uplifted in song and hear a faint chorus of ________* (Insert favourite song of your youth here).

Old coach depot near Builth Wells
I have been passing this coach graveyard for years and each time I mean to stop off and study the decay at closer quarters. Maybe as many as two dozen coaches and buses stand parked on this old garage lot, as if hoping for one last road trip that never comes. Judging from the registration plates these are mainly 1980's vintage coaches, long since superseded by newer models but redolent of their day and speaking to me of many, many school trips, safari park visits and sweaty sandwiches, sing-songs and nefarious activities at the back of the bus. Great to see such a collection. Great work by the collector concerned. They're in reasonable nick all things considered.

Old filling station on the A483 west of Cilmeri near Builth Wells
Coaches and buses crowd the disused forecourt and pump area. The sign advertises unleaded fuel at 99.9 pence per litre, so that dates the closure of this facility. One small bus still bears its destination or route sign; 'Chepstow via Monmouth / Trellech' which is coincidentally my old stomping ground. An interesting and thought provoking collection.

Those were the days!!!
Brown's Garage on the A483 that no longer is a garage, but could be a local coach business now (school buses) but the price of fuel!!!! I estimate that the fuel stopped flowing about the 1990s or earlier. The premises are part way between Garth and Cilmery.
