Talybont-on-Usk
Looking along the main street of this canalside village towards the Star pub. The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is at the top of the high embankment to the right; a serious breach here in 1995 caused extensive flooding - pictures of which are displayed in the pub's bar.

Long building adjacent to the Star Inn, Talybont-on-Usk
The 30 metre long 2-storey building is alongside the B4558, on the NW side of the Star Inn. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3113866
A foundation stone shows E.JENKINS 1903. The faded name sign shows J.L. STEPHENS & SONS BUILDERS & CONTRACTORS TALYBONT-ON-USK 268. Based solely on the evidence of this sign (its fadedness and the old-style phone number), the premises appear to be vacant.

Edwardian brick building in Talybont-on-Usk
Alongside the B4558, the main road through the Powys village.
The building is dated 1903. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6203718
Formerly the skittle alley for the Star Inn, with tearooms above. Latterly used as a builders' workshop. Grade II listed in 1998 as an interesting Edwardian purpose-built recreational building in a prominent village position.
