Slwch Lane
This bridleway runs east-west from the youth hostel at Ty'n-y-caeau past Slwch Farm to Cerrigcochion Road. Parts like this are sunken and as a result take some drainage which makes for heavy going in parts. The views are a reward for persevering - Yr Allt Image is seen in the background in this shot. The route gives access to the hillfort of Slwch Tump Image

Limetree Close, Brecon
Viewed from the B4601. English can be an ambiguous language, especially out of context. For example, out of context, light can mean not heavy or not dark. A lime tree could be a citrus, or, as here, an unrelated tree, a member of the Tilia genus, usually called linden or basswood in the USA.
