Mown grass field at Millhead
The warm spring has allowed the first cut of grass to be made from this field on the edge of Millhead. The evening sun makes it glow an emerald colour. Beyond are the houses of Carnforth with Christ Church (the parish church) http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/846257 visible.

Flooded fields below Warton
With the return of the November rains the low-lying ground between Warton and Millhead is starting to resemble a large, shallow lake again. Normally, this is cattle pasture and hay meadow.

Standing stone at sunset, Warton
This upright chunk of naturally weathered limestone sits in an open pasture on the edge of Warton. It has a carved inscription: 'Diamond Jubilee 1897' from which it would seem to be to commemorate Queen Victoria.
