LNWR boundary marker, Bolton-le-Sands
London & North Western Railway boundary marker, about 500m from the railway line, but close to the canal. It presumably dates from the time that the Lancaster Canal was the property of the LNWR. The LNWR was formed in 1846 and existed until the railways were grouped in 1923.
