Inman's road
There are a whole network of paths in Eaves Wood, busy with dog walkers (I don't think we met anyone without at least one canine companion). Most are not rights of way, but this one along the southern edge is a public footpath, named on the OS Map as Inman's road, skirting south of King William's Hill in what is now a nature reserve.

Silverdale War Memorial
Located close to the Methodist Church in an angle between roads. The original cross blew over in 1960 and was repaired in 1962 before a new replacement cross was added in 1979. Each of the dead soldiers is also represented individually by a small yew tree with engraved plaque on a stone bearing their name, rank and unit, age and the action they were killed in.

Old reservoir in Eaves Wood
This lined depression may be all that is left of a number of reservoirs which once supplied houses and the Woodlands Hotel below. Note the rusty metal pipe on the left.
