The picturesque village of Overton lies three miles south of Morecambe close to the mouth of the River Lune. St Helen's church is located on the north bank of the river immediately opposite Glasson Dock.

A Grade II* listed building. See https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1071774 The nave (right) is of Norman origin. The transept (left) was added in 1830. The church is about 500m from the centre of the village, overlooking the Lune estuary. Residential development in the 20th century has extended the village to the church.
