Footpath parallel with the A65, Newby
Before the trees are reached the path crosses Crook Beck. The large-scale OS map indicated a ford but when I saw it it was a narrow channel that can be jumped over.

Farm buildings north-east of Newby Moor Bridge
An area of low level moorland lies between the busy A65 and the buildings. The view is from Newby Moor Bridge itself; the distant high level moorland rises ultimately to Ingleborough.
