Site of Shefferlands Roundabout
The Heysham to M6 link road construction site, seen from Foundry Lane Bridge over the M6. Compare with a pre-construction view Image Shefferlands Roundabout is taking shape (to the right of centre, in front of the site buildings). The 2 crawler cranes are used to unload and assemble the Lune West Bridge beams, some of which are visible. The new M6 J34 northbound entry slip road will run from the roundabout towards the camera. A temporary access road from/to the M6 has been laid (where the Police car is standing). This is used to deliver loads to site, such as the bridge beams.
