The signs above the window to the right of the door advertise 'The Minstrels' Gallery, Morning coffee • Afternoon teas' and 'HAWKSHEAD POTTERY.'
By the side of the door a board advertises 'Light Refreshments, Teas • High Teas • Woodware and Pottery.'
The Minstrels' Gallery (formerly listed as Crown Mitre Cottage) is a Grade 2 listed building.
