Williamson's Barbers
Gloriously old-fashioned gents barbers, probably unchanged inside since the day when, the grumpy 82 year-old proprietor will proudly tell you, he instructed members of the late Donald Campbell's crew to "tell Mr Campbell to get off his a**e and come here if he wants his hair cutting" after they'd asked him to travel to Coniston with his clippers - three days before Campbell's fatal crash as he attempted to break the water speed record. Mr Williamson has been cutting hair here since 1944 apart from his two years' ("waste of bloody time") National Service.
