50 years on https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5555808 the scene has hardly changed except for the increased number of motor vehicles, and the appearance of new houses at the far end of the street.

Not quite a turning circle as it lacks a raised bit in the middle that the buses go around. It looks really rather tight for today's buses, but as the route currently serving this part of Lancaster does so by way of a unidirectional loop, this is unlikely to be a problem.
