Former Co-op, Greaves, Lancaster
On the corner of Bridge Road and the A6 is this old Co-op shop notable for its ornate stone beehive crest http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3044905 above the entrance. It is now a beauty salon, 'Beauty 154' - a shame I am beyond their help?

Weathered date on Lancaster Methodist Church, Greaves
This is located on the wall of the church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3044755 and I think would have originally been 1908. 'The foundation stone was laid on Wednesday afternoon, 14th October 1908' http://www.lancastermethodistchurch.org.uk/page8.html The proximity to the busy A6 with its traffic pollution has probably hastened the erosion of the sandstone carving.
