Milestone Marker 26-31 (105-104), Lancaster Canal - Site of the missing Ridge Lane Milestone
Of the 56 milestones on the Lancaster Canal five are missing.
This is the site of one of them.
If the milestone was there the inscription would be Lancaster / 1 :: Garstang / 14
It would be located 31 miles from the Centre of Preston and 26 miles from Kendal.
Any information about this milestone would be appreciated, please.

OS Bench Mark
OS rivet bench mark from the 20th century levelling, on concrete surround of manhole by No.176 Ambleside Road. The rivet is in the centre of the picture and the arrows, if any, are hidden by moss. 31.79 m above datum. [This is the only bench mark that I could photograph on the Ridge Estate - the others are either rendered over or in private gardens.]
