Keswick Road, the Ridge Estate, Lancaster
Post War council estate built on the slopes north of the Ashton Memorial, the majority of these houses are now privately owned. Magnificent views across the city from upstairs windows. This shows the Castle with Morecambe Bay and the Furness peninsula hills in the distance.

Of the 56 milestones on the Lancaster Canal five are missing.
This is the site of one of them.
If the milestone was there the inscription would be Lancaster / 1 :: Garstang / 14
It would be located 31 miles from the Centre of Preston and 26 miles from Kendal.
