Nettle Pot
The entrance to this cave is remarkably hard to find, as it is approached up an overgrown stream bed with low branches impeding progress. Inside, there is little immediate improvement, as the caver must drop to a low crawl for a few metres before the cave opens out to a very fine, if rather easy, trip.

West Riding milepost, Gawthrop
Only the initials 'WR' are now visible. This is a reminder that up until 1974 this part of Cumbria was within the West Riding of Yorkshire, a huge county which extended surprisingly far west.
