Holme Farm
Described as an 'open' farm in the sense that they run activities for the public, as well as a campsite. This track through the farmyard is also open in the sense of being a public bridleway.

It's cold and wet outside!
It is the first day of summer (according to the Met Office) but these Rough Fell rams are not having any of it. They have recently been sheared and staying inside seems like a better option.

Broken former county boundary stone near Sedbergh
This used to sit on the Westmorland-Yorkshire boundary but since 1974 it has been wholly within Cumbria and demoted to a parish boundary (Middleton and Sedbergh). Oddly, the boundary hereabouts does not follow the River Rawthey which suggests that the course of the river may have moved over time. This is what is carved on the underside Image
