Liverpool Overhead Railway coach, Tuebrook - 1966
The coach had been rescued for preservation by Liverpool City Museums and is seen here in open storage at one of the Corporation's yards. It is now exhibited in the Museum of Liverpool at the Pier Head.

Site of Breck Road Station
View eastward on Townsend Lane. Station had been on the left; ex-London & North Western Bootle Branch, Edge Hill - Alexandra Dock/Canada Dock. The station was closed to passengers 31/5/48 when the local service was withdrawn, to goods on 8/9/69, but this important line to the Docks (Liverpool Freeport) remains operational.
