Attacking The Gwladys Street End
Leighton Baines lifts his first half free kick over the Wigan wall. He hits the target but the keeper saved. Everton won 2-1 with a last gasp penalty by Baines, euphoria all round apart from the 100 or so Wigan fans seen in the bottom of the Bullens Road stand on the left.

All Together Now
All Together Now, a sculpture by Andrew Edwards on display at St Luke's Church, near Goodison Park on 7th February 2014 - derby day, with Everton FC hosting Liverpool FC at a 17:30 kick-off. The sculpture commemorates the brave young men who took part in the 1914 Christmas truce in the Great War. The sculpture's name is inspired by a song by the Liverpool band The Farm. It depicts the meeting of a British and German soldier in the mud of Flanders. The soldiers appear to be shaking hands, but in fact are not quite touching - there is space for the visitor to insert his/her own hand to complete the union. If you know your history.....
Excitement mounting with the faithful singing the anthem in the Gwladys Street end just before kick off against Wigan. The Blues stretching with the Toffee Girl with Mop Cap in the centre circle. Everton's new full backs both look a little short on Premiership experience and height.
