The remains of Peters' Buildings, Chapel Street
Shown as Peters' Buildings on the 1891 O.S. Town Plans, the only purpose of the remaining stonework seems to be to brace the adjacent world famous Pig & Whistle public House.

Imposing Portland stone block, lightened somewhat by the large glazed sections between giant square piers. By T. Wainwright & Sons, 1929.
Built for the Yorkshire Insurance Company, it has recently been refurbished and the signs advertised office space varying from 850 to 3,300 square feet.

The Pig and Whistle, Chapel Street
This pub apparently survived bomb attacks in the Second World War while all the adjacent buildings were destroyed and have never been rebuilt. It is still open for business more than 70 years later.
