Brandreth House, Burscough Street, Ormskirk
Named after the Doctor who established the nearby dispensary, this Grade II listed building dates from the first half of the nineteenth century and is now lodging rooms. The small building attached to it, now a hairdressers, was formerly a chapel.

Ormskirk Dispensary
or the Farmer's Club as it now is, endorsed by the Campaign for Real Ale.The building was opened in 1830 by a Dr Brandreth and is one of the more handsome buildings in the town.

Pillars on Burscough Street, Ormskirk
The first building was built as offices for the local newspaper in the late 1980s but they moved out some years ago. The second set of pillars belong to the FarmersClub, the former dispensary, dating from 1830 and a Grade II listed building.
