Signal box and engineering works, Huyton railway station
Some of the station redevelopment, and relaying of track, can be seen behind the signal box. This is in preparation for the electrification of the line, in 2014. With electrification, the station is to regain the use of two platforms, which had been closed to the public since the 1970s.

At the junction with Rupert Road. The name doubtless derives from the fact that it was bridged by the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, a real novelty at the time.
