Prescot School
Prescot School was previously called Prescot Grammar School, founded in 1544 by Gilbert Lathum, a local clergyman who left £140 in his will to fund a schoolmaster to run a free grammar school. From 1760-1924 it was sited in Fazakerley Street (now High Street where the car park is today) before moving to larger premises at St Helens Road and eventual merger with Prescot Girls Grammar and relocation to the present site.

Prescot Lodge and Gate to Knowsley Hall
The original Prescot Lodge and entrance gate to Knowsley Hall on Knowsley Park Lane (formerly Lodge Lane). Detached from Knowsley Park by the construction of the A58 Prescot Bypass in the 1970's, through the gate you can see the modern lodge which serves Knowsley Safari Park entrance. The boundary of the Knowsley Estate is formed by a stone wall which was built by during the 1830's and 1840's by the thirteenth Earl of Derby, it had thirteen entrances, each with a lodge, the main entrance was on Knowsley Lane.

Parkside, Knowsley Estate
Knowsley Hall lies in 2,500 acres of private parkland 7 miles from the centre of Liverpool and has been home to the Earls of Derby since 1385. The house known as Parkside, which is now in the grounds of Knowsley Safari Park, was once the home of the estate manager.
