Grosvenor Road shops, Maghull
Perhaps surprising to see that they all seem to be occupied. In the 1970s, the nearest shop was the Candy Box, a newsagent and sweet shop, and there was a small supermarket (Fine Fare) at the far end.

Boats on the canal at Hall Road, Maghull
Opposite the site of the former Old Hall High School, which was Maghull Grammar School before then. In the 1970s, dilapidated or half-sunken canal boats were all that were to be found here, but there have been narrow boats moored here for decades.
