Houses by canal & motorway
The M57 crosses the Leeds & Liverpool canal immediately ahead, beside both of which sit the houses in view. The houses post-date the motorway which suggests an extremely persuasive sales pitch for them.

Pipe bridge over the canal
Not the prettiest of objects have as part of the view from one's brand new house. The housing is called The Pottery, although the works which give it its name were on the other side of the canal.

Leeds-Liverpool Canal from Ledson's Bridge, Waddicar. "The Village", the new estate to the right of the photo has recently been built on the site of an old pottery works. The canal at this point was in a very poor state a few years ago when it was still an industrial site.
