Disused gatepost and sign for East Waterloo Dock
This gatepost is the most northerly of the six that once provided access to the Waterloo Docks complex. The warehouses have now been converted to apartments and this entrance is no longer in use. A sign declares that there is a 'Headroom' limit of 17ft 10ins, but that was when the Liverpool Overhead Railway was in place running close to the dock wall and gates. The railway closed in 1956 and was demolished in 1957. There is a rivet bench mark on the left shoulder of the base.

Former gateway to Waterloo Dock
This old gateway stands at the northern end of Waterloo Dock but is no longer in use. The Waterloo Dock warehouses have been converted into apartments, so unlike their smoke-blackened siblings further north, these gateposts have been cleaned.
