New Barratt House, North John Street, Liverpool
Looks like a 1950s office development with ground-floor shops, mostly occupied by a branch of Santander bank at the time of the photo. On the corner is a crest and small square panels arranged vaguely decoratively.

Hard Days Night Hotel
Looking down the North John Street from Lord Street. The building with the flags is the Hard Days Night Hotel Image, which now has statues of the four Beatles at first floor level. It opened in February 2008 in the old Central Buildings, around the corner from the Cavern Club.
