This one of the roads in the centre of the old Triumph TR7 Car plant in Speke. All the roads on the site are named after Triumph cars.

Speke Junction shed
A typically grimy 'WD' class 2-8-0, 90076 stands on one of the ash road next to the shed. The concrete tower on the left is the ash plant. Ash tubs could be run in the pits to collect ash from locomotives, then hoisted up the tower from where the ash would be let down into wagons for removal.

Class AL1 locomotive E3011 at Allerton ? 1963
In the original blue livery, with applied aluminium fleet numbers. This was the first production type of locomotive for the West Coast Main Line electrification, introduced in 1960, later to become Class 81.
