Speke - Guy Fawkes bonfire
Speke: November 5th bonfire ready to go. On a green beside Alder Plantation, Alderfield Drive. I particularly liked the fact that this was just down the road from St. Ambrose Catholic Primary School, also on Alderfield Drive. I wonder whether they teach 17th century history? How many of the celebrants will know who Guy Fawkes was and why he ended up in so much trouble?
