Exeter Road, Bootle (1)
Victorian terraced houses boarded up awaiting demolition (Image]), to be replaced by new houses being built a stone's throw away (see the furthest building). I don't understand the economics or the logic, if there is any, of demolishing houses like this.

Bootle Town Hall, Oriel Road.
Bootle became a popular health centre in the late 18th century and by the 19th, many fine houses had been built, especially near the shore. Bootle-cum-Linacre was incorporated as a borough in 1868 and the Town Hall was originally opened in 1882.
