PDSA Kirkdale PetAid Hospital
Named The Jeanne Marchig Centre after one of the charity’s main benefactors, the PetAid hospital cost around £1.5 million to build and equip. It is PDSA’s first ‘green’ facility. Its eco-friendly features include solar panels and rainwater recycling. It also has large west-facing windows and individual room-temperature control to reduce lighting and heating costs.
The new facility was opened on Monday 29th of September by Ken Dodd and will treat hundreds of sick and injured pets every day; pets whose owners are unable to meet the cost of private vet bills.

Signals and bridge, Bank Hall Railway Station
Situated at the northern end of the island platform, signals ML57 and ML59 can be seen. The pedestrian footbridge crosses between Glendower Street and Oriel Crescent.
