Granada Cinema Dovecot
The Granada Cinema in East Prescot Road, Dovecot, opened in 1932. Since the cinema closed 1961 it has been a bingo hall (closed 1994) amongst other things but the building, once disused, has now become a social club named Bugsy's.

Dovecot shops
Just inside the Liverpool boundary, the recently renovated Dovecot Place, local shops with accommodation above, built in the 1930's. The larger building in the centre was a library until a couple of years ago but a modern one has now been built behind it.
