Alt Valley Skills Centre previously St Swithin's
St Swithin’s Church lay in a severely dilapidated state for over two years. With funding from the North West Development Agency the Alt Valley Trust redeveloped the church into a multi-functional Community Skills Centre providing work and training courses for 14-19 year olds. The centre opened in September 2006 and has teaching facilities on two floors including general seminar/classrooms and IT suites with state of the art wireless IT installations and kitchen and café facilities.
