A typical example of the small miners' cottages in the terrace seen in Image This particular one hasn't been improved and modernised as much as some of the others; it retains its original 12-pane timber sash windows and a boarded door, but the size, shape and general layout is exactly the same as all the others. OS benchmark - Buckhaven, Denbeath Primary School
An OS cutmark on the door jamb of the school on Wall Street; originally levelled at 27.828m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn, and described on the OS database as being at 20.5m above ground level. I was quite disappointed to find that was clearly a typo.
