Blairadam Forest, 'Touch Not The Cat'
Carved into an old brickwork embankment 'Touch not the cat' and a Celtic-style carving of a cat. Could this be a reference to the locally named 'Beast of Blairadam', a puma-type animal which has been sighted in the area?

Forest road crossing route of old railway
The road is in the Blairadam Forest which occupies an area with a coal mining history. The rail route is assumed to be a local one associated with the mining. The brickwork at the left side of the image is surely part of a buttress to a railway bridge. June Hodge has a Geograph image which shows embellishments to the brickwork of the buttress - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2137643.
