Pettycur Caravan Park
A vast static caravan site on the steep hillside above the beach at Pettycur. I was somewhat alarmed to see a very low flying Airbus 380, descending steeply towards Kirkcaldy. It is unusual to see aircraft that low flying away from Edinburgh Airport. The plane soon returned climbing hard over the Forth towards the usual landing approach for EDI. A closer photograph of the largest passenger aircraft in the world, taken a few minutes later here:Image

Caravan holiday parks
On the outskirts of the Fife village of Kinghorn lie two caravan holiday parks. The lower line of caravans in this image are those of Sandhills Caravan Park whilst those further up the hill belong to Pettycur Bay Holiday Park. These two sites are separated by the A921 Kinghorn-Burntisland road.
