Old WW1 Drill Hall on East Leven Street
Now the home of the Burntisland Pipe Band, it was originally a WW1 Drill Hall, when it was the base for the Forth Royal Garrison Artillery - Defended Ports (No 6 Company) http://www.geograph.org.uk/article/WW1-Great-War-Centenary---Drill-Halls. It was originally built as a school in 1850-54, sold to be a drill hall in 1893, and finally given up by the army in 1950 according to RCAHMS http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/121723/details/burntisland+67+east+leven+street+pipe+band+hall/ , but a Wikipedia reference says that it was bought in 1946 for £400 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burntisland_and_District_Pipe_Band .
