The Sensory Garden Aberdour
This garden was built on the site of the original Aberdour Primary School. The school was built in 1850 and demolished in 1974 after a new school in Hawkcraig Road replaced it.
The garden is situated across the road from the Railway Station.

Union of South Africa 60009 - Aberdour
You could hear that whistle as she left Burntisland. On the final bend before Aberdour railway station she appears from under the bridge at Hawkcraig Road. The hills of rape at Dalachy to the North East seem to tower above the village.

Hillside School

Hillside School used to be called 'St John Bosco's' when it was categorised as a 'List-D' approved school and was run by the Salesian order of priests.
Now called 'Hillside School' and with a new management. One of the thirty or so residential special schools in Scotland.
About two-thirds of the children in Scotland’s residential special schools have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and the other third have complex sensory needs.
