18thC house, Somerville Square, Burntisland
An 18th century burgess house, though some parts are believed to be earlier. One of its former residents was the mathematician and astronomer Mary Somerville, after whom Somerville College in Oxford is named. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Somerville She was brought to life explaining her scientific observations to her friend, the great British landscape artist J.M.W. Turner in the 2014 feature film Mr. Turner'.
