Museum of Communication
In the middle of the Fife seaside town of Burntisland sits this little gem of a museum. Featured in the Guinness Book of World Records it contains many different communications devices from as far back as the Napoleonic Wars right through to the latest modern, state-of-the-art technology. 18thC house, Somerville Square, Burntisland
An 18th century burgess house, though some parts are believed to be earlier. One of its former residents was the mathematician and astronomer Mary Somerville, after whom Somerville College in Oxford is named. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Somerville She was brought to life explaining her scientific observations to her friend, the great British landscape artist J.M.W. Turner in the 2014 feature film Mr. Turner'.
