Empties for Thornton Junction
An empty merry-go-round (MGR) coal service heads back to Thornton Junction yard from Longannet Power Station after discharging its load of coal. During the '70s and '80s class 20 locomotives out-based at Thornton Junction were the staple motive power on the many coal services that loaded from the mines and open cast sites in Fife. Now this line the Fife Circular has a regular passenger service but back in the 80s this was a freight only railway apart from a few morning and evening passenger service to and from Edinburgh.

Goon Tower
A lofted Trap to get those clays out and up high. Nothing moves in these woods. If it does it is shot. Littered with orange painted pieces of clay, the upper class twits, and sometimes even the likes of me, can be heard ... "Puuuuuwwwwlllll"
