Cupar Railway Station
The only way to access the booking hall and eastbound platform from the westbound platform (seen here) is by way of these steps or a series of ramps up onto the road bridge. The statue is in honour of DMM Crichton (Image).

DMM Crichton 1801-51
David MM Crichton 1801 to 1851 Free Church man and politician. His statue stands looking out across the railway bridge he fought for when the railways only wanted to provide a cheaper level crossing.

Cupar railway station, Fife
Opened in 1847 by the Edinburgh and Northern Railway on what was then the line from Burntisland to Tayport, since the opening of the Forth and Tay bridges, this is now the main line from Edinburgh to Dundee. View north east towards Dairsie and Dundee. For a similar view in 1988, see Image
