Rose Crescent
Stone houses with some of the many for sale signs on display at the time. The market had collapsed - you can always tell when there is a slump from the number of fixed price signs on display.

Foot of the Townhill Road
The Townhill Road runs north (left) from the roundabout. I was in a bit of a rush to get back east of Edinburgh before the daily thrombosis of the City bypass so I missed out on the charms of the Tardis Cafe (blue sign). I hope it lives up to its name and serves mugs of tea that are bigger on the outside. I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse.
