East Neuk Hotel
Popular hostelry on Crail's main thoroughfare. Frequently photographed by Dutch-speaking visitors because the work 'neuk' to them has a similar significance to the word 'f**k' in English.

Public toilets which are open!
With local authority budgets under enormous pressure, public conveniences are being closed all over the place. Nice to see Crail with working PCs.

1 Shoregate & 1 West Lane, Crail
A house with a split personality. This rather plain side of it faces onto Shoregate, and the other side, rather more ornate, faces onto West Lane. It dates from the 18th century, and was Category B listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200359099-1-west-lane-and-1-shoregate-east-neuk-and-landward-ward#.W_rIqdSLTGg in 1972.

Public toilets, Crail
Once voted 'The Worst Public Toilet in Fife' (by myself!) these toilets at the top of West Lane have been refurbished internally and are now a pleasure to use. There is a 30p charge via a coin box adjacent to the doors. The box on the wall above the two blue bins is an Automated External Defibrillator - a device which is becoming increasingly common in prominent public places.
