Waid Academy, Anstruther
The Waid was built with funds provided by Lieutenant Andrew Waid who died in 1804 leaving an endowment for a school for boys interested in joining the Navy. The school was built in 1886 and is still the secondary school for the area taking in all pupils from the local schools.

OS flush bracket - Cellardyke Waid Academy
OS flush bracket S4595, mounted on the wall of the Waid Academy school; it was originally levelled in 1957 at 16.922m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn, when it was used during the Third Geodetic Levelling of Scotland.
