Since this aerial photo was taken, many of these caravans have been removed and plans are afoot to develop a permanent estate of houses and shops, provisionally entitled 'Silverdykes village' on the site.

Cellardyke Roofs
A mixture of traditional slates and red pantiles on these roofs provides an attractive view. The pantiles originally were used as ballast in the Dutch sailing vessels which traded with Fife's harbours.
