The rubble-built sea wall from the Esplanade to the Golf Club is Category B listed. This section still displays (although somewhat weathered) the words:
H.M. COASTGUARD ANSTRUTHER.
The houses behind are on Shore Road.

Bleached seaweed
A few days of hot, dry weather has bleached this area of fine seaweed near the high water mark, giving the appearance of a fall of snow on the shore.
The rubble-built sea wall behind is category B listed.
