Taeping Close
New residential development in Cellardyke. The street is named after the tea clipper "Taeping" made famous in a Tea Race with the clipper "Ariel". The two ships raced each other from China and arrived in London Docks within 10 minutes of each other. Taeping was first to arrive, but the owners agreed to share the 10 shillings per ton bonus for the first tea landed at the docks.

Opened in September 2001 this health centre is located near the entrance of the former Anstruther holiday camp.

The A917 at Kilrenny
Seen from just outside the village the road heads towards Anstruther. The houses are in Cellardyke which was previously named 'Lower Kilrenny'.

Caravan site
Since this aerial photo was taken, many of these caravans have been removed and plans are afoot to develop a permanent estate of houses and shops, provisionally entitled 'Silverdykes village' on the site.

Boat planter

RAF Anstruther
These buildings stood behind the guardroom on the domestic site of RAF Anstruther.
All have now been demolished. The one nearest the camera is believed to have been the armoury and the others may have been part of the Police Flight which was normally very close to the guardroom.
Thanks to Mr Dennis Anderson who served here in the 1950s for the information.
