22 East Green, Anstruther Easter
Built around 1810, and Category C listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200380906-22-east-green-anstruther-easter-kilrenny#.XT2ndehKjcs in 1972. The blue plaque records that the house sits on the site of a previous cottage, which was the birthplace of Lt Andrew Waid of the Royal Navy, whose legacy led to the foundation of the Waid Academy school in Anstruther in 1886, some 80 years after his death.

Blue plaque commemorating Lt Andrew Waid, R.N.
The plaque on a house on East Green reads: Lt ANDREW WAID, R.N. 1736-1803 Was born in a house on this site. His legacy led to the foundation of the Waid Academy in 1886 Anstruther Improvements Association The original Waid Academy [https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/147838] has recently been replaced by a new building [https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5456563].

The road runs behind the Scottish Fisheries Museum. The Category C listed building in the centre is number 22 East Green, and dates from about 1810. A blue plaque on the wall commemorating Lt Andrew Waid [https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6171866] is just visible.
