Study of a Gasoline Station
Gleaner, Thurso. This photograph is part of a series taken in homage to the American artist Ed Ruscha's 1963 publication of 'Twentysix Gasoline Stations'. More properly known as filling stations in the UK, I am attempting to photograph as many as possible to mark the sixty year anniversary.

River Thurso, Thurso Bridge
A four-arch bridge carrying the A9 over the River Thurso with a small arch spanning the mill lade. A plaque on the parapet records that the bridge was opened on 3rd May 1887 by the Rt Hon Earl of Caithness. It also records that the engineers were Macbey and Gordon of Elgin. The bridge is a Category B listed building (Historic Environment Scotland LB42033 http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB42033 ).
